Geoscience began operations in 1961 as a geophysical contractor, performing seismic operations in the U.S.A.. Geoscience developed the first logging unit to work in uranium exploration. During the 1960's after a great deal of expansion, Geoscience expanded and moved into other systems. Geoscience opened its first workshop in Australia in 1971.

The Company expanded as requests and demands from its clients for new services, (both downhole and on the surface) were received. Geoscience responded by providing better more advanced calibration, quicker data acquisition and manipulation, exotic downhole tools and uniform log presentations to better suit it's client base.

In 1977, Geoscience, a totally Australian owned company, initiated a Research and Development section recognized officially by the Australian Government, to research, create and maintain the latest in logging technology.

The Research and Development Section is proud of its achievements, and has provided Geoscience with several generations of logging devices and new technology, with a strong commitment to, and emphasis on, customer service.

In 1988, Geoscience relocated to new premise in Mt Barker and expanded its manufacturing equipment, as well as its services to both the Australian and international markets.

The Company designs and manufacturers its own mobile logging systems at Mt Barker.  Each Unit incorporates the most innovative and up to date technology, to ensure that client service is uncompromised.

Geoscience operates a fleet of 4WD, air-conditioned, self-contained, computerized Borehole Logging Units.  Each unit has a depth capability of 2400 meters, and uses 4 conductor wireline.  The critical logging system and interpretation processors are backed up with two internal computers, and there is a full range of down-hole services available on each unit.
